About MeThis will be my 10th year teaching fourth grade at San Elijo Elementary School. We have such a wonderful school, great staff, and incredible community support that it makes it very exciting to come to school each day. Of course, we also have the best students around!
On a personal side, I have a beautiful wife named Sherri that I have been married to for 18 years. She is also a teacher in the district, 3rd grade at Richland. We have two incredible kids, Madison who is 15 years old and Troy who is 13. Madison will be attending Mission Hills High School as a 10th grader, and Troy will be an 8th grader at Woodland Park Middle School. They keep us busy with their involvement in sports and other activities. As a family, we love to go camping and boating. That is how we spend most of our time during the summer! |
My Philosophy |
I have a real passion for teaching. My goal each year is for my students to LOVE coming to school each day. I want to make learning fun, challenging, and interactive. I want students to always strive to give their best effort on every assignment. I want students to leave my classroom at the end of the year as better academically, and also better people. Every student is unique, and I challenge myself each year to learn what makes each child tick. It is a challenge that keeps me on my toes each day, and is why I love teaching so much!
